The high carbon imported DNH7 steel is hand forged and clay hardened, giving a hard and sharp edge with a tough spine. The tang is in the hidden style with a brass pin securing the blade into the grip. This style reduces fatigue to the user by transmitting less shock to the hand and arm during use. A full grain leather belt sheath is included. As DNH7 is a high-carbon steel the knife should not be stored in the leather for a long period of time; a nylon zipper storage pouch is included for long-term storage instead.
